i am abroad now and have only an English Keyboard available.so i thank All who reads this for your tolerance in advance ... :)
i guess that Gidi can answer your question beautifully (Veani lo rotze Laharos ... :) . but reading your words, i felt, empathy and care and out of that, i wanted just to emphasis one very important point.
Few words about me , in short: i have taken the Mapi courses "Shlav Alef & Bet" at September & October
2009
At the age of 34.
Since than, even before while i bought the book and practiced little,i have gone through a wonderful , most exciting and fulfilling journey of knowing myself , improving much my communications skills- especially with Women But most important- Learning to live my life AS I REALLY WANT ! (doing my utmost not to hurt others in the process ). Journey, full of Ups & Downs- As life are.
Regarding what you wrote , from my understanding of Mapi- Learning to live as you want, without apologizes , without compromises and learning to achieve your goals- That's what it's all about
!
That is the approach, or principle that makes life very satisfying.
Gidi said it also in "Shlav Alef" something like: After all what it means to be honest to yourself, its to be true to yourself, to live the life that YOU want , as YOU want it without compromises.
Something in that spirit. That inspires me a lot in life and in relations with Women.
Well, to be more precise- there are levels of satisfaction and content:
Meditation Masters say with there wisdom that also getting what we want is not what brings us Real happiness, satisfaction and content.
And underneath it all, that is what we are realty looking for.
you said in your message just by the way a sentence that made me "jump" (in a good way not in order to criticize)and was the immediate cause for this Answer:
ואני יודע שהחיים שלי לא נגמרים מחר
Brother, we may know many things in life but the truth is that nearly all of us do not know this one- when and where it will end!
Life can end after many years , or after i'm writing this lines (hope not ;) who knows ?
That is why it is SO IMPORTANT to live life NOW as we REALLY WANT IT .
So, how to do it ? well, i am far from being a Master, neither in Mapi or in Meditation . moreover , i feel that it is an issue in itself. but if i can sum it in few words i would say:
Get read of fears;
1. Mapi wonderfully teach "Pritzat Phadim" that helps not only in first approaching to Women. as i see it , and use it, it regards many fileds like:When i want to say something which i mean but afraid that others will not except- as Gidi said here- i just do- i just say! and that is despite that my whole body might tremble out of fear of critisizem and failure.
Or if i want to say something in assembly, which is my Big fear- i just do!
Actually, writing these lines and publishing it, for me, it is a big personal achievement of dealing with fears of criticism. (and also my first time here, although i thought of writing many times during this 1 year and few months, so , readers- pls be gentle :)
Not all the time of course, it's a processes, in some cases , like mine, quite a long one - but this is the practice and this is the approach.
and every time i "fail"- i get up and start again, as positively as i can.
after number of times that we do it repeatedly- we get used to it and changing the habit of fear to habit of healthy and confident action.
2. Meditation! and not just any- Insight Meditation.
From my experience and experience of others, i can say that the root of the fears will only get eradicated totally out of Meditation, by developing Insight- Vipassana.
An Important note- what i wrote is from my personal experience as a Meditator for number of years and as "Boger Mapi" and that gave me the surety to write it. BUT, i am not saying "this is so"- people might agree or disagree- this is my point of view regarding this moment.
That was on "Ktze hamazleg" of this issue. i hope that helped.
Yatza ktzat aroh ... hope you made it till the end :)
Thanks for your patience.
I Wish you life of full of contentment and Happiness.
Amit.
